Russian invasion of Ukraine

Next big question is what happens when Shitgibbon removes american sanctions on russia? Does the **** then start trading american arms to Putin?
Nope because this would require a change to US ITAR export regulations which he can't do.

Laws can only be changed by congress and executive orders can't overrule federal law. Republicans are unlikely to support it.

Have you not been watching this prick is doing what he wants, congress aporived those weapons to Ukraine and he’s stopped them, he is the law now.

Zelensky: "We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky — ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same."

Stopping those exports is a bit different because the approvals to export weapons to Ukraine already exist so he can just instruct the DOD to revoke them. Starting a new approval is different because ITAR regulations are a federal law on arms and ITAR specifically lists Russia as a banned country.

He'd therefore have to change the federal law and he can't do that so easily with an executive order. If it was so easy then he'd just do away with Congress altogether and become a dictator but he'd have to change the constitution first, and then there would be civil war...

There's something quite sick about watching all this evolve in real time. Who'd have thought 3 years ago when those tanks rolled into Ukraine, that the Ukrainians would have held them off with Zelensky refusing to leave, and he'd end up being punished for it by his 'allies'. The way the yanks have treated him the past few weeks, I almost feel like he'd have been better off walking into Moscow himself and giving Putin what he wanted. It almost would have been more dignified.

So this article admits - assuming all goes well - it will take 30-40 years (a generation) to disengage?

The article in it's reporting of some of Europe's plans actually confirms what Trump has been saying since 2015.

I don't understand why is he signing a minerals deal if America is offering nothing.
From what I have read most of the minerals are under captured Russian land are Trump and Putin going to carve it up or have America got to kick them off it.
Just because this deal is going to be signed how will that stop Putin if nothing is coming from the US?

It's pretty obvious, if the yanks hold the rights, they will defend them. Thus protecting the Ukrsine.

You either surrender to Ruzzia or stop them.
Best to do it now rather than later, it will be much cheaper in the long run and probably less deaths too.

Im sure the Polish army took it? or maybe NZ
The Poles were fighting alongside us and indeed their flag was raised alongside ours. There were a number of Allied forces attacking it, my point was the useless yanks.
They apparently had a very gung ho attitude, very ill disciplined.

My father in law was at Casino, he told me the story.
