3rd highest support in the world behind US / UK in terms of actual money spent... and well over a million refugee's

Granted they could do a lot more in GDP terms. but the idea they have done pretty much nothing is nonsense.

1/3 of what we have given in military terms means Germany have no say whatsoever in terms of when the war stops.
For sure they're involved in the subsequent peace admiting Ukraine to the EU and being given NATO protection if they're attacked, but that's it.

As commendable as taking in refugees is, it doesn't help Ukraine win the war to save their country. The German and French contributions have been pathetic.

As commendable as taking in refugees is, it doesn't help Ukraine win the war to save their country. The German and French contributions have been pathetic.

I agre up to a point but It’s part of the German’s contribution. It would be hard for the Ukrainians to fight back at full throttle if they were looking after many millions more of their own refugees.

We also know that part of the reason we gave so many weapons to Ukraine was to try to keep
Boris Johnson in a job. The end justifies the means in my book so that’s not a problem.

The biggest factor in the Ukraine’s military success is their own forces IMHO. Yes the weapons are essential too but the Iraqi and Afghan armies had all the weapons and training, but largely evaporated in the face of battle.

Maybe the biggest contribution of NATO countries has been intelligence gathering that seems to have been a great help.
