The ball is in Ukraine's court. He can keep going and set the milestones that allow a reassessment.
The US will back him for at least 2 years as will the UK and Eastern European countries (except Hungry) - the only consideration is whether Russia agree to withdraw to at least Feb 23rd boundaries.
Note: France and Germany are irrelevant as they haven't given Ukraine sufficient military support to get a seat at the top decision table.

They will have to have France and Germany as part of any discussions as Ukraine has got joining the EU as it's number one priority even above joining NATO which will be a much tougher ask as we know as I suspect that will be part of any caveat that the russians will insert .

Without a coherent EU financial restructuring package for their economy the future outlook would look very bleak for Ukraine and I also suspect upon joining the EU will provide them with most of the security guarantees against russia they will demand in the negotiations.
