He’s (understandably) quite guarded about what he says. He’s treading a very delicate line tbf.to be fair to the BBC their Russia correspondent Steve Rosenberg does a YT run through on the morning papers daily which highlights the state of things in Russia right now plus he does other news report. I am amazed he hasn't been deported by now or had a terrible "accident"
