The Netherlands cannot supply its 18 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. Prime Minister Mark Rutte previously considered buying the Leopard 2A6 tanks currently leased by the Netherlands from Germany and sending them to Ukraine, but Germany refused says BNR radio.

No chance 500k,IMO.
We've seen many,many videos posted on here of Russians complaining about no equipment etc.
I posted a video myself of a captured tank commander,who's tank would not fire.....he was told to "just drive about"
We've seen videos of ancient equipment brought out of storage also.
Missiles that simply explode or return to sender when fired.
And then we got the many video of old men and men with disabilities who have been called up.
Again,I posted one the other day of an old bloke with one eye and tuberculosis who had been called up.
Let's not forget the hundreds of thousands of men who fled Russia.
And they reckon they will get another 500k?

People are stating in WW2 Russia had millions of soldiers, that is correct. However, that was the USSR and not just ruSSia. This time it is ruSSia only, yes they do have a very large population but I would suggest to mobilise 500K men of fighting age is a big ask.

I only caught a few seconds of "question time" (and frankly that was far too much), but some idiot asked a question "should we give all out Typhoons to Ukraine".

Are people really that stupid ? It would leave the UK with pretty much no air defence, and since we have them in Cyprus, still fighting IS, in the Falklands as a deterent to Argentina, in Europe as a defence to russia, not to mention in the UK as a deterent/defence to terrorist/foreign threats.

Also how many of these "100" do they think are actually serviceable at any one point in time, I'd be surprised if it's more than 50%.

I posted afterwards i think they mean Leopard 2 tanks only,not Leopard 1.
I also do not know if it is fact,although it came from someone who is good for info,which is why i said "apparently".

The decion was made for "military reasons". Those 18 Leopard 2 are part of dutch-german Panzerbattalion 414 (1 dutch+4 german companies, 50 Leo2) located near Munster/Lower Saxony,
been in Lithuania as 10th rotation of NATO enhanced Forward Presence in 2021. Will probably be reserved for those missions.

Anyone else find it incredible that the Russian Air force doesn't have control of the skies after a year of war. The Ukrainians can still put up fighter jets. Why have the Russians wasted all those missiles on civilians when surely ukrainian airfields would have been a better target?
