As they didn't strike a pillar I don't think the damage will be too bad.

Hopefully not bad as it’s a key supply line between Moldova Romainia and Ukraine.

Iirc didn’t Hitler or his regime underestimate the strength of the RAF at that time ?
Also the system of defence and Radar helped too.

There was a documentary on the BBC I think a few years back where all the downed German pilots who were taken prisoner were kept in a luxury mansion in the country somewhere. They didn't know that everything they said was being recorded by our secret service. I believe in all that malarky it came out that a German squadron was smaller than a British squadron. The documentary implied that because of this difference, the Germans thought the RAF was weaker than it actually was because it had less squadrons but far more planes.
