Looks to me like this will go on for years in virtual stalemate.

Ukraine can’t cede territory already taken by Russia. Russia can’t retreat. China waits in the wings, ready to match Western support.

A long war of attrition unless someone presses the button (which I doubt) or the West rolls back its support and cuts Ukraine loose.

I really can't see China supporting Russia with arms. Western business ties are financially far more important to China than Russia. 35 x more important financially infact. Russia is actually a very small market for Chinese trade.

Given it’s been copied off Russian equipment I wouldn’t fully recommend it.

Do they want to suffer the same isolation as the Russians. I don't think so. This situation works perfectly for China. Keep the Russians on side by buying their oil and gas at rock bottom prices while still trading with the west.

NATO members have been very wary of giving Ukraine it’s best military equipment for two reasons
the first is the amount of time to train Ukrainians not only to operate it, but to also service and repair it
the second, and this very much applies to China. NATO cannot risk any top equipment to fall into Russian hands. The Chinese definitely cant trust the russians not to let anything fall into western hands

It's a drone, watching for missiles. It does this at least 3 times per week on rotation with other aircraft.
