Russian invasion of Ukraine

Do you think that’s realistic? That would mean Russia either handing back Crimea or Ukraine taking it back.

Did you think Ukraine taking back almost 50% of Russian occupied lands was realistic last summer?

But look at what happened in Kharkiv and Kherson!

And don't forget Crimea is a massive headache for Putin.. it's a desert without water and that has to be shipped in everyday for its residents! They actually want loyal Crimeans to leave Crimea!

That's probably the alternative to giving them F-16's and training.

It would probably be a lot easier to accomplish on the Polish (some of which have likely made their way to Ukraine already) and Slovakian MiG-29s that were overhauled last decade to NATO standards.

They have to be given up anyway since parts and service are no longer available from Russia.

So how does this all end then? The experts like Fiona Hill think this will rumble on for years like Iran-Iraq war. Does Ukraine ultimately have to come to an agreement with Russia and give up lost territory?
Sadly yes, Ukraine will have it give up lost territory.

The Russian want Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson. Once they conquer what's left of those territories (they're 80-85% controlled at the moment) mission accomplished.

Yeah, it's going so well for them. Kherson, a sitting duck for Russia.

72 more hours, all done.

Nope. That’s when the hard part starts and they have to fight a gorilla war for years with thousands of heavily armed cells all hell bent on killing Russian soldiers.

Something like 98% of all US deaths in iraq came after the “mission accomplished” part. Even if they do win those areas ( they won’t in my opinion ) they still lose.
