I think he’s less likely to repeat what he’s done to Ukraine, if plainly defeated (and preferably humiliated) than if he can claim a victory of sorts, not least because it will weaken him domestically.
I know there’s a risk of someone worse replacing him, but that makes his defeat even more of an imperative.
I just don’t see him accepting it mate although I agree he won’t go balls deep like this again for a good while at least and only then if he is 100% sure the west won’t do anything. He was emboldened with Crimea and our lack of response and I can see him being a snide little **** with a few border scuffles that are “nowt to do with me” sort of thing or just massing troops on the border for the shits and giggles.
If he had anything whatsoever about him he’d have held his hands up and withdrawn. He’s army is a busted flush and he’s not getting Ukraine.
