Russian invasion of Ukraine

This has been proven again and again. I don’t understand what is difficult to grasp about this.

Obviously not wanting to get to ahead of the situation and before any real counteroffensive....but...
I really cannot see any way other than a total anihilation of Rissian troops in UKR territory being acceptable. Taking back both the Donbas and Crimea is a must in order tototally humiliate Putin and ensure leadership/regime change. Without that change I cannot see there being any long term change to the thinking of the population in Russia as a whole. The complete defeat as any sort of offensive force, so that there is a mindset that they have to accept they have to pay reparations to UKR for the damage they have done.
They have levelled towns/cities not to mention the awful cost to "innocent civilllians", not forgetting the war crimes they have carried out.
Without a total defeat will anyone be held to account (pretty much as was the case with the Salisbury/Litvinenko murderes) or any reparations be made?

Still advancing at Kruta Balka,East Avdiivka...about 1.5km off.
2 defence lines here as the Russians can't afford to lose it.
Also still advancing at Berkhivka,Northwest Bakhmut.
About 3km off it.....Berkhivka falls,Wagner fall,IMO.
Wagner headquarters in Yahidne, about 2km Southeast of Berkhivka.
Ukrainian heavy artillery along with a number of tanks arriving at Bakhmut.

Slava Ukraini.

How do you think anyone inside russia is ever going to beld responsible, defeat or otherwise ?

Yes fully appreciate the difficulty in that. The only way would be a willingness for some sort of atonement...but as has been reinterated here so many times, that seems totally at odds with the Russian psyche.
Besides the willingeness from within there perhaps needs to be a longer term use of sanctions or means of a % of their oil revenue going to Ukraine

I'm just catching up on today's events so apologies if this has been discussed earlier.

Does anybody think there's anything in the idea that (regardless of Lukashenko's current health status) Putin might eye up the annexation of Belarus as a contingency that will allow him to withdraw from Ukraine while saving face?

Russia seems to have its tendrils increasingly wrapped into Belarussian infrastructure. It is all but a Russian puppet already.
