Russian invasion of Ukraine

Nowadays Wagner is more like a militia rather than real mercenaries. I think it's impossible for them to change sides. But they could be a force inside Russia when the tide might turning.

Yes it does sound unlikely but the Italians were accepted by the allies in 1943. All the Italians did was declare war on Germany and they were suddenly on our side.
If Wagner did likewise against Russia then who are Ukraine to stop them? Or more importantly how could they stop them doing so?
 
Russia's defence ministry says it has thwarted a major Ukrainian offensive in Donetsk, claiming to have killed 250 troops and destroyed armoured vehicles.

Video of what Russia says is the battle appears to show military vehicles coming under heavy fire in fields.

But there has been no comment from Kyiv and Russia's claim has not been independently verified.
