I had the same thought - odd he’s going to Belarus where Russia recently moved nukes to.

However, you’d have to wonder how he’d get access to the codes without either Belarus or Russia being complicit, which would put them in the firing line for any NATO retaliation.

Safety protocols for nuclear weapons are implemented by all armed forces to stop a deranged loon using one in anger.
Each nuclear missile can only be launched with the use of a code and warheads will only detonate with the use of a code.
