i would expect ukraine to lose a lot of troops because they are attacking, think someone on here said earlier in the war russia would loose 5 to every 1 ukrainian due to ukraine defensive positions ,think that was the "rule" of war, maybe not the rule but the expected level

Agreed but I don't believe they are currently suffering huge losses of men or equipment as the post I replied to implied. The Ukrainian's have only deployed a small fraction of their overall forces to the front line as yet. I believe the usual figure given is 3 attackers to 1 defender.
