That's not logical? If they couldn't take the bridge out completely I'm sure they would. Otherwise they are just allowing the Russians to use it more, to reinforce their positions.

Perhaps they are not ready for the orcs to turn west and north in Crimea.

That was my thinking of the reason for leaving it. They've demonstrated they can hit it, but it's better to have the civilians leave by their own choice.

This is spectacularly bad news for Russia. They have a very limited number of these. They are by far the most advanced and expensive assets they have. And they can barely afford to replenish the cheap stuff.

To lose one of these to friendly fire must be very demoralising to the top brass.
