I’m not having this. There’s no way the Russians would waste money sending 61 POW’s on a plane ride!If it’s what is being reported on BBC then is looks like it was carrying POW’s.

Couple of pictures floating about making it seem like a friendly fire incident, course russia will say it's pows and not their own men. Hopefully the truth comes out soon enough.

What the BBC is actually reporting...
- The Russian defence ministry says a military plane has crashed in Belgorod, near the Ukrainian border
- "On board were 65 captured Ukrainian army servicemen being transported for exchange, six crew members and three escorts," the ministry says
- The BBC cannot yet verify who was on board, or what caused the plane to crash
- Video on social media showed a plane going down near the village of Yablonovo, 70km (44 miles) to the north-east of Belgorod
- A member of Russia's parliament accuses Ukraine of shooting down the plane using Western weapons - but provides no evidence

Agreed.but also just symantics. All I was doing was saying what the bbc headline said at the time. I didn't have time to deep dive into the whole article.No, the Russians say it was carrying POWS. Two different things entirely.
