Russian invasion of Ukraine

Russia is a bully with huge numbers of fighting age personnel. That does not make them a superpower military wise.
@Man_City_Loyal struggles to differentiate between those.

If Russia had the military might claimed, this war in Ukraine would have been over in weeks.

Yet, the facts reveal Russia hasn't the capability some readily read and believe
I agree entirely. I am just puzzled as to the logic employed.

Big Difference between fighting-age males and trained troops that are proven to be factual in the numbers

But its ok mosssideblue says they are not a superpower so everyone's wrong

Come on, surely you can see that with the equipment Russia are having to use and the amaturish military strategy employed resulting in 300k+ losses (as well as many other facts mentioned), Russia isn't as great as you purport

OK so we can agree that that number of casulties supports the fact that the Russians have failed in their military objectives. I am sure we both agree on that.

If you accept the above you can only assume that the Russians are at the limit of their capability. If not why wouldn't they just press ahead and use their overwhelming superiority in number and equipment.

Or perhaps you think they want to keep losing 100,000 men a year and not use their superiority??

Which is it??

Potentially yes, taking over Kiev and other key cities. Then yes they've failed there.

Going off the stats about how many are actively in combat in the region, compared to their total numbers not being used. Then no I wouldn't say they are at the limit.

I'd very much doubt they want to be losing the amount of troops they have, think that would be crazy.

Then again they say Putin is a mad man

There is currently 601 Russian Brigades/Units etc involved in this 3 day "Special Military Operation".
This is more than double the amount 12 month ago.
They are 100% thin on the ground.
They could put a billion feet on the ground, but what equipment they gonna use?
Avdiivka direction, they are being forced to storm it,with no weapons.
Weekend,Russian Drones was dropping single grenades off to their soldiers as "supply's".
They are in a difficult situation.

Heroyam Slava.

Why have they not got the superiority of Ukraine yet? could be ananything.
The main reasons being, the ruSSians are incompetent and the vast majority of their equipment is between 30 and 60 years old
They cannot commit all their forces to the war in Ukraine or they'll have nothing left to defend their borders elsewhere
The devastation the Ukrainians have reaped with the dribs and drabs of old arms supplied by the West proves that in the event of a conventional war with NATO, the ruSSians would be absolutely mullered
Is ruSSia a superpower?
In conventional terms, no
In nuclear terms, yes. But the way they've performed in Ukraine makes everyone wonder what condition their nuclear arsenal is in and would it actually work

All stats online. But again you refuse to acknowledge it and probably go off the odd twitter video to bump up your view.

Anyways you keep up that way. I'm bored wasting my time responding back to you.

Sorry, but "it's online" without offering a link is a red flag for bullshit.

If you can't link a reputable source which backs up your assertions, everyone will presume you don't have one.

Military experts claim you need to keep 10% of all resources to defend your own country.
Russia,the size of it,maybe 15-20%?
Do they have that left?

Slava Ukraini.

That's a big ask
It is, but we were paying 5% at the height of the Cold War and it's back big time.
So it's not excessive is it.
Of course we could increase our expenditure to £6bn on supporting Ukaine (with similar uptick from the rest of Europe) and Ukraine will save us a fortune in the long run.
