Russian invasion of Ukraine

No. Because the facts aren't the same. Israel cannot threaten the world. Russia can.
It seems like you've fallen for the rhetoric.

He's not going to use nukes FFS, he's not under threat from the West and neither is Russia.

Throwing threat's around is how a bully works, if you shit yourself you will continue to be bullied.

Nothing wrong with that statement. Ukraine has lost the war. Russia needs to come to the table and name it's terms. Ukraine need to accept that they have lost territory and come to terms with it and demand assurances and protection from the West to prevent further losses.

All of what you say is true, but it does not negate the fact that Ukraine is defeated and that the war needs to stop and that conflict is not worth starting WW3 or a nuclear conflict over.
Would the deal you envision involve Russia keeping what it’s stolen and Ukraine staying out of NATO?

I could threaten the world, Israel could threaten the world, Russia can threaten the world.
If no-one believes the threat it's not a threat just a failed bluff.

Thanks for the pedantic point. Israel cannot threaten the world because they do not have a huge nuclear arsenal, what they could do is threaten to drag in global power and create a wider conflict. See the rationale for why South Africa developed nuclear weapons and their planned used. Samson option is a similar idea.

I'd rather not test the theory he is bluffing.

given the performance of some of his hardware in Ukraine I doubt he can rely on them not going off in their silos

It can't join NATO with territorial disputes but maybe surrendering their current claims on lost territory would be worth it for that.

Do you think NATO members would risk inheriting the obligation to defend it though?

And without reliable American backing?

Maybe there would be need to be an alternative mechanism for providing guarantees.

The guarantees don't actually have to be honoured in future. Ukraine just needs to believe that they will be.

Previous guarantees to Ukraine haven’t been worth a wank.
