When we go to kill, we kill those who aren’t like us. When we go to save, we save those who are like us. It’s designed to generate indifference to the suffering of the “other side” and sympathy for those on “our side”. Racism, no - horrible, yes.
Russia has “justified” killing those like them (Ukrainians) by painting them out to be nazis (so different). It’s not racism. If we were bombing the Ukrainians we’d be making them out to be savages or summit.

Dehumanising our enemy is something we do if they look like us, if they don't look like us it's not necessary, latent racism does that for us.
