Ukraine and it's people,as Zelensky has stated,on many occasions,will not give up land.

Will be interesting to hear what Trump has to say when Putin refuses to have Zelensky present at the summit.

What he should do is tell Putin to fuck off and he will back Ukraine to the hilt in achieving their goals, as well as placing these additional sanctions on Russia.

What he will do is appease Putin again and stitch up Ukraine

The meeting isn't only about Ukraine and I would imagine they'll spend about ten minutes on it
putin will state his impossible demands and lies about why the invasion took place and trump, who is only interested in receiving a peace prize, will agree to do whatever putin says

And a week later state his displeasure at Putins continued attacks on Ukraine giving Putin 60 days to agree a ceasefire.

Trump, you are the weakest link- FUCK OFF

I'm not sure it would go well.
Putin would give his hard line demands.
Zelensky would reject them.
Trump would then either look powerless or would have to make a public decision as to which side he is supporting.

As it is, the expectation does seem that he will berate Zelensky for not agreeing.

He already knows Zelensky (rightly so) will not agree to Putin's extortionate demands and will be prepared to publicly put him down after the meeting claiming Ukraine are being unreasonable.

Anyone siding with such an aggressor should never get a peace prize

Easier to do than to look bad with both present.

It seems bizarre that he doesn't see where this is going. So bizarre that I think he does know.

I don't see his goal here. He's already got Europe to buy US weapons (there really is no option right now), so he could prevent sales of them to cause Ukraine to collapse.

President putin said a lot of things for me to consider. I think he's a great man, a really great and honourable man, who wants the war to stop,. Yeah, I think he really does
So we're holding off on sanctions of ruSSia and we're pausing aid to Ukraine for the time being, I don't know, maybe two weeks, maybe a month, I don't know. Let's see.
This war would never had started with me in the Whitehouse. This is Crooked Joe Biden's war and I'm doing all I can to stop the killing
