S.O.S.Save Our Shaun (Merged)

Really happy for him this pre season - he's one of us after all. I still think he has something to offer this season. Mancini speaking to him this week apparantly.

He's definitely leaving according to Sky.

He wants to stay and fight but like Onuoha, who also wants to stay, the manager has no plans for him.

Bolton, Sunderland and Wigan have been given the all clear to talk to him.

I never thought we would sell him for a second time he has given his all for many years for this club and as a mark of respect he should stay with us until he retires, plus he is in great form and should be given a fair chance at playing 1st team football
SAVE OUR SHAUN!

really hope we keep him...he would be a very useful squad player and he's always been loyal to City...

not sure if there is any truth in the adebayor swap deal with lennon, but if it was to happen that would piss me right off getting rid of shauny and getting lennon in,no thanks. Also whats the betting that gobshite ian wright pops up soon calling City to fck

Shaun will priobably go. And there will que up "plastic fans" at the Etihad stadium in the future. You can't have it both ways.

I like the bloke, but if it means he gets first team football then he should go. Happy memories of him.

I havent read the entire thread, but can make a pretty accurate assumption of the content.

SWP should move on, he isnt good enough for us anymore, we have simply outgrown him. His pre season form shouldnt be taken into account as they are mean nothing friendlies...
I like the lad, but lets got get nostalgic and keep him here for non football reasons. He should move on for himself, regular football.

isn't shaun the last player we have who has played at maine road aswell?

Bollocks.

When Capello picks an England squad he tends to go with three wide players in it and his prefered choices would be Walcott,AJ and Ashley Young. If any of them were missing I am 100% convinced he prefers SWP over Lennon and Downing but only if he gets "Game" time. I still think he has plenty to offer us and I would love to see him pick up a Winners Medal with us.

adam johnson isnt as good as shaun... jus sayin
I like AJ aswell, different players I reckon. AJ's got the tricks to get past afew in tight spaces. Don't think Bobby fancies either though :(

Question slightly off topic but would Johnson be classed as a pacy winger?
