Re: Sagna

Bacary Sagna has ended his seven-year stay at Arsenal by signing a three-year contract with Manchester City, according to reports in France.

Sagna, who is out of contract with the Gunners this summer, has been offered a two-year extension to stay at the Emirates Stadium.

But after admitting last month that he was unlikely to remain at Arsenal, French newspaper L’Equipe says he has put pen-to-paper on a contract with City.

Arsenal ace Sagna 'signs for Man City'

It’s claimed that the Premier League champions have given him a three-year deal worth about £150,000-a-week – a significant rise on his £80,000-a-week Arsenal terms.

Sagna has also received offers from PSG, Monaco and Galatasaray, but the 31-year-old has always favoured remaining in the Premier League.

Re: Sagna

£150,000 my arse, more likely it's the same £70k a week he was on at Arsenal with some nice bonuses and a better chance of winning silverware. Does he have to score a hat-trick in a 3-0 win every week to reach this £150k?

Re: Sagna

Hope it's not 150k a week as that's not the road we won't to be going down with 31 year olds, great getting him for free as I think he is quality but Zabba is 30 next year so so that is 2 old full backs for the premier league.

Re: Sagna

He's worth every penny - when you remember he's signed on a free.

£150,000 a week for 3 years = £23 million.

If we wanted to sign another back-up right back, it would be around the same price for less quality.

For example, a £10 million player on a three year deal on £90k a week would cost us £24 million.

His wages are only high because we haven't paid a transfer fee for him.

We won't get a right back of Sagna's quality for any cheaper.
