Re: Sagna

Zabaleta, Coleman and Sagna are the 3 best right backs in the league IMO.

We needed to buy a back-up right back this summer to take the workload off Zabaleta and we couldn't have got a better one than Sagna at that price.

Great business!

I have watched him closely since we have been linked with him.

He is an excellent fullback and his crossing is of supreme quality.

Dzeko and Sergio will be licking their lips.

Not sure if we've been watching the same player.
For me he's a decent full back who retains the ball very well but doesn't cause much of a threat going forward. As for his crossing, I haven't seen him cross once in the recent games that I've watched.

Are we getting overall a better player than Richards - I doubt it.
Perhaps not but we are getting someone who will at least be able to play regularly and give Zab a rest.

Re: Sagna

Aint Sagna versatile at the back, ie central/left back? Anyway, solid player what I've seen.

Bacary Sagna set to sign for Manchester City on £120,000-a-week deal
• Right-back is out of contract at Arsenal

Manchester City are on the verge of announcing the signing of Bacary Sagna on a free transfer from Arsenal, with the right-back to earn at least £120,000 a-week.

The 31-year-old is thought to have agreed a three-year deal to take him to the Premier League champions and strengthen Manuel Pellegrini’s defensive options.

Given City’s £49m net transfer budget for the summer due to Uefa’s FFP punishment the acquisition of Sagna for no fee will cause relief at the Etihad Stadium.

if/when #mcfc get RB, CB, DM club will be happy. Begiristain does not like to hang around...

Re: Sagna

£120,000 a week for a backup right back? £80,000 is what we should be looking at
