I am stating a fact, Edmund is not the official patron saint of England anymore. Your feelings don't matter on the subject.

There is a cult surrounding him in Bury St Edmunds but he isn't the patron saint of England.

I'm trying to educate,learn people reading this thread about their history.
I know the french,gave us george,but we had another,a true English saint before him,Edmund.

Yes of course we did and I agree with you, but he isn't one now. We probably had one before the Saxons of sorts pre-Christianity but it's just an echo.

We are the sum of all of our parts from Briton/Celtic to Roman to Saxon Angle Jutes Viking and Norman (Who were just Vikings anyway not French) to settle on an era does us an injustice.

No it's history it isn't what it is today. We got here on a journey but that doesn't mean that what was is now what is.

How can i disagree,officially yes.
But to a true Englishman that knows his history ,Edmund comes before the french george,simple as that.
