Seriously ill in hospital apparently. Was diagnosed with colon cancer last year but has been readmitted to hospital a week ago and apparently it's not looking good for him and Italian media is saying that he's gravely unwell and they are expecting the worst.

Remember his goals and impact vividly and everyone just thought “where the hell has he come from”. Exciting to watch, such a shame. Anyone know his age? Good luck to the fella.

I despise international football, but back in 1990 it wasn’t the same, and I remember the wild staring eyes of Scillaci when he scored. He looked demonic and for the duration of that tournament he played like he was. All the best.
