Genuine strength in depth has been lacking at City for a while. We have quality players but when we have to dig through the squad for replacements, the drop in quality can be sharp. United suffer less when they have to do the same. So if they want to bolster the squad, then why question it? Maybe they're specifically targeting players who won't be dickheads if they aren't playing every week. United have to choose 4 to play from Van Persie, Rooney (or a replacement), Welbeck, Hernandez, Young, Valencia, Nani, Kagawa and now Zaha too.

Everybody's missed out Milner too. Probably better in the centre but will be played as a winger. Him and navas have the right side covered so this kid will have to come in as a right footed left winger. Can't see this happening without somebody going and there's nobody that plays in a similar position i would want to get rid of.

From his YT vids he doesn't look that great, very Milnerish infact, I don't see that spark you'd expect for the fee, but I realise it's stupid to judge based on a few mins of clips so...

We've just bought Navas and we have Milner and Nasri who can play there.

And 25m? Why does every player cost 25m nowadays, even ones I've never heard of, like this lad? and I'm guessing he'll be on the bench quite a bit considering the other players we have. Bit steep.

I'd rather spend the money on a CB. Could have sold Garcia or Lescott and signed Marquinhos for that kind of money

Yea, maybe he'll be played on the left but we have Jovetic and Nasri who can play there. If we were too buy another winger for the squad surely we'd go for a left footed one.

I'm skeptical ..and after Garcia I don't trust Benfica!
