Samir Nasri

Talented individual he is no doubt, but last night he was dreadful and looked hopelessly off the pace. Possibly becuase he was rushed back by RM which in hindsight was a huge mistake.

With the benefit of hindsight again, we would probably been better off playing Sinclair to give us the width we so badly needed or even Edin as one of 3 strikers.. Even at the expense of one of the back 4, as once again they pretty much had the night off, barring that one shot and super save from Joe.

Goes back to the lack of a plan 'B' from RM, which I have mentioned previously.

Not sure if serious. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

Re: Nasri

Thinking about this Season how well different people have performed Zab, Komps, Dzeko, Silva, there's no many but Nasri has accomplished very little and is responsible for the wall in that match... He should be replaced by an Att Mid on the left wing someone that will link up and work well with David Silva.. We need more penetration on that side something Nasri isn't capable of

Re: Nasri

Samir 12 touches has to be the most frustrating player we've got. He rarely gives the ball away and is technically good but he slows the play down and seems to take an age to pass the ball at times. There is talent there but he seems scared/unwilling to take responsibility and actually use it

Nasri is much better than people here think and that is why he is picked by Mancini almost always when he is available. He is ideal player for style of football Mancini wants, he barely ever lose the ball.

He wasn't at his best last night but we're still better team with him on the pitch than opposite.

I don't think he was woeful last night too, he is just a player who's one bad thing is going to be highlighted here each time and good stuff will be forgotten.

I remember people having a go on him in match day thread last night for one bad pass but nobody said nothing when he made fool of Taarabt and sent good cross in the box. There are few of such in our team who'll always get stick here.
Bingo. We were better before he went off. Our shape disintegrated last night after he left. Barry and Milner (both of whom I love) had horrible games. We didn't need two defensive mids. I think we would have been much better off bringing on Sinclair for one of them and Dzeko for Tevez.
I agree with all of this.

Re: Nasri

Goes into hiding when its not going his way

Got no problem with players habing poor games (milner and barry were crap last night), but at no point did they go hiding.

Also agree that he is a talented player being played out of position, but he could at least get involved more

Re: Nasri

Really want him to do well.

I was happy when he scored for France against England.

I am a bit worried though that he is becoming a bit of a "Balotelli" i.e. he has a reputation of being class but you can count his great games on one hand.

Spur's 5-1, Spur's 3-2, Chelsea 2-1... I cannot even think of any more than that sadly.

When we play well as a team he is instrimental but i don't think, when the chips are down and we are struggling, that he can make a difference.
