The lure of "TWGC"™, along with (I'm guessing) a substantial hike in salary, was too strong to resist, I guess. I just wonder; if he knew a couple of months ago what he knows now, re the mediocrity of that squad, would he have taken the gig? He was idolised at Sporting. Reading the caff, some of the great unwashed on there seem to be in two minds about him.I bet he wished he had stayed at Sporting a bit longer. They have fallen off for a cliff since he left and sacked the manager already.

His pension pot will be sorted once he gets turfed and with the swamp situation being what it is should he decide to go for another 'top' job he'll have no issues getting ore with his credit in the bank from Sporting.
For the money involved I'd pop over to the swamp and manage them for 12 months.
They'd be even more shit than they are now and relegated if they let me do a season mind you.
