Scandalous Attendance at Villa Park

Why didn't we give Everton the blocks in the 3rd tier we didn't open midweek?

I accept Everton wanted more tickets, equally i accept there may well have been problems with segregation, but our attendance (record for COC semi) was over 50,000, yesterday Villa Park was little more than half full, and as you can see from the photos, vast swathes of seats were empty, right next to City's end. I can't think of one "valid" reason for not making part of that section available to City fans. I appreciate someone posted the Police were against this, however i stand by my assertion that there was no valid reason for this stance

I can understand Villa not giving all of the empty seats to City. But surley all of the North stand and parts of Trinty Road stand could be given to City without to much hassle since there obviously was demand?

I read in one of the big papers today there were 26,000 there - 5,900 were travelling blues.
Someone should point this out to Collymore next time he's mouthing off about big clubs.
23,636 announced at the game and on City's web site. Where did 26,000 come from?

I don't suppose you've bothered to check some of our FA Cup attendances over the past 20-odd years. 2000-01 for example.
What would you have accepted as OK for a team that is almost guaranteed to go down?

23000 isn't particularly bad.

We got 25000 as a rule for early round cup games pre-takeover.
