Scandalous Attendance at Villa Park

We're already gone mate. 10 points to make up and 3 teams to overhaul, no chance. If we had a decent striker I'd give us half a sniff but they're all rubbish, we had 70% of the ball at Albion last week and we wouldn't have scored if we were still playing now.
Yeah you're probably right, but I still wouldn't give it up till its impossible.

The demographic of our away support is a function of the fact that we allocate tickets on a points basis, whereas the rags for example have a lottery... AFAIK.

The people who get our tickets are the people with the most points who have obviously earned these through years of support. So they're obviously going to be getting on a bit now.

Whereas the rags allocation will naturally be much more of a mix of age groups who apply.

I am frustrated that I could have gone to this game as not working but not able to get a ticket despite there being one or two empty seats. The powers that be think it's a one way street in regards to me giving up my time and money when they can accommodate me.bit sad really but another reason for fans to call it a day and look at what else is on offer.

They're done for. As of now, they have 13 points from 23 games (2 wins and 7 draws). Even to get up to 38 points, which would be borderline for survival, they'd need to win 25 points from 45 that are remaining. That'd be 7 wins and 4 draws out of 15 games. It's just too big a turnaround in form. Yes; I know Leicester dug themselves out of a similar hole last season, and Sunderland the season before. But who's going to score the goals for Villa? Even our visiting Villa fan reckon their forwards are shite. My apologies to him, but I reckon they're gone.

1) That £15K would be seriously diluted by having to pay for extra policing and stewarding.
2) Our ticket office is not as bad as it is painted.
I was assuming the extra income from food and drink would cover the additional cost for stewards and police.
And yes the ticket office isn't as bad as it used to be, but I still think Villa's replay and the reduced selling period made things more difficult.
But it's all guesswork unless either club or WMP made a statement on the matter.
And it was a lot more pleasant than my first trip (League Cup 76-77, lost 3-0) when it was an open terrace and the locals weren't too happy with visiting fans.

Three of us were with the Villa fans cos we didn't qualify for tickets in the away sale, why didn't they give us more tickets, absolute disgrace.

To be honest to the OP, if I was one of your mates I'd have gone in the Villa end. And then gone to the Northampton Gazette (or whatever it is called) if thrown out for cheering!

To any Villa fans reading this.... Villa at home to City New Years Day 1986..... 4 years after you won the European Cup and with thousands of Blues there, the attendance was 14,215
Where were you when you were half decent?

Did you see the absolute media blitz their attendance received in the papers the last few days?

Couldn't move in the newsagents for seeing this on their back pages
