I thought it was Nastasic that was the one offside and interfering with Ederson.

UEFA have released their response.

This is actually insane:

When such a malfunction of the system occurs, the IFAB protocol allows for the VAR to describe to the referee what can be seen on the TV replay(s) but not tell him the decision that should be taken. The referee then makes a final decision based on his own perception and the information received orally from the VAR.
Therefore VAR could have been implemented at all grounds in the fa cup, rather than just at premier league grounds? Because all the matches were televised and the VAR could have watched any replays and described what happened to the on field ref? By text or semaphore or Morse code perhaps?

Con made by the officials. Hand ball must be seen as the hand or arm moving towards the ball.
VAR must be used as an obvious error by referee. It was not obvious.
The referee was not the man making the final decision. Rule break.
You were conned, City. You must complain. Eufa hate English Teams. Good luck.

Even the schalke bench were watching on a device and knew before VAR what had happened,of course that is supposed to be against the rules but who needs rules for our games,it stinks
