1st pen was no & given as a corner.

Only then the ref can change it by on field monitor & only he can change after viewing not the twats in the stand.

2nd pen was off side before Dino dragged him down again without on field pictures it actually worked against us & rightly so the ref went with his decision he wasn't able to change.

So the 1st was in correct & against rules & yellow card should have not counted but the 2nd has to because ref said pen straight away.

UEFA will brush it under the carpet as normal.

Anyways we were Fucking shite, KDB, Silva & Gundagun very poor but although he scored the winner Sterling was awfull.

Bye bye Nico & hello I'm back Vinny to make a Wembley appearance alongside Laporte.

Leroy to also start with Raz down the right.

Anyway looking forward to the second leg when (if any of us turn up) no doubt we will see similar decisions go in our favour. I mean its not like they apply the rules inconsistently is it ?

As we saw tonight, VAR in its current incarnation is preposterous. As it stands, and this is where Peter Walton is so blatantly and willfully ignorant, only clear and obvious mistakes can be overruled.

In essence, whatever decision the ref makes for the two pens can't be overruled, because the error is not clear & obvious. So if the ref gave the pen against Nico, it shouldn't be overruled. There is an argument that the pen is valid ( a tenuous one, but there you go). Equally, if the ref doesn't give the pen, it can't be overruled. Same with the second pen. There was no role for VAR in either case.

What is really bizarre is that City's first goal was reviewed for a foul by Laporte. Incidents leading to goals apply only in the attacking phase. How can a defensive header in your own half be deemed part of the attacking phase?

VAR tonight was not used in the way it is intended. The only valid conclusion is that the VAR officials did not know what they were doing.

Pep tbf :)

But he's putting it on our team instead, which is fucking brilliant when you think of it. He saw us both fold & get cheated at Anfield last season. We will have to put up with this bent fucking shit against better opponents, if we want to win it.

If next season continues with this shite aided by v.a.r though, it will be my last as a season ticket holder.

Football can fuck off if the games are manipulated by faceless criminals.

Pep will only get sat in the stands if he calls it how it is. Liverpool half time last season has seen to that. Bet he never had this shit at Barca.

You're talking shit mate, go to bed
I think you should take some of your own advice.

Are you seriously suggesting that if they wanted to really screw us, they would have used the contact as an excuse to give fouls for the first or third goals? We’ve all seen softer, incorrect decisions.

Ps it’s funny that one of the people suggesting there isn’t a clear conspiracy from UEFA to screw us is the one you consider talking shit. Fucking wibble.

Please accept that both were penalties ... as per Pep ``s comments !!!
You’re just as fucking thick and stupid as the BT presenter if you believed those comments. Listen to the undertone of the very first comments by Pep in that interview, it wasn’t even subtle how he’s taking the piss. He can’t just come out and say UEFA you’re a set of cheating corrupt twats because he’ll get banned.

Big win in the circumstances but I thought we were poor, and for what it's worth the ref got the decisions right.

I think you are completely wrong. Two of the key decisions were nonsense and we still won. Which is a fantastic result and could not have been achieved if we were poor.

You seriously saying you wouldn’t shout pen if Aguero kicks it at Ramos, same distance, same contact in a CL semi?

Oh fucking course I would but it doesn’t mean it would be correct. I shout for a penalty if someone closes Ederson down. The fact remains it wasn’t even close to being deliberate handball, his hand is in a natural position and moves away from the ball, just not quick enough but considering the ball is twatted from 5 yards away that’s no real fuckin surprise is it.

I guarantee you that the VAR officials knew exactly what they were doing hence the decisions
