I think Otamendi has enough time to react and the ball is heading into the corner. He makes a fist and diverts the ball. If that was reversed I'd absolutely want a penalty.

My issue is how VAR was used tonight. How can the ref not have a monitor but the Schalke bench have?

But your pount re you 'think' Otamendi had enough time, is the very reason it shiuldn't be a v.a.r. decision.

You can easily be wrong, therefore nothing to overturn.

The handball is clear for me. The shots going in and Otamendi diverts the ball. The second penalty is a needless pull by Fernandinho.

We're fortunate that Schalke aren't very good.

Of course it's a great result, but it wasn't a great performance.

It was on target not going in, Ederson saves that. How is trying to get your hand/arm out of the line the ball is travelling in deliberate handball?
