Schindler is an idiot

Did anyone else notice that the interviewer kept trying to put words in MH and GC mouths!

No wonder GC was careful with what he said he didn’t want to fuel their fire!

One of the worst discussions I’ve herd on a radio programme

Agreed. I was looking forward to this, but it soon became clear what was to follow. Alexander's documentaries are usually quite well researched and interesting to listen to. This was the same old, same old - boring and shallow. How many times was the word 'galacticos' used? Last week I sat watching the Aalborg game and noticed we had five academy graduates on the pitch whilst conforming to Blatter's 6+5 ideal - but we're still ruining football? They're all just spouting sensationalist nonsense to suit their agendas, whilst conveniently bypassing the truth.
And why do they keep trawling out Schindler who is obviously so out of touch and ill informed?

Boring tripe.

On r5 now. He does NOT represent the views of the fans. 'High moral ground' - what a load of rubbish, and Colin, don't kid yourself that we were any more 'in charge' with Wardle and Makin than we are now.

Stop being so embarrassed about the club, and look at the real situation. Most of the transfers have been sensible, and only overpriced because of the market perception of the club. You are humiliating the club on radio and it isn't yours to humiliate. COCK.
who is this prick anyway?? never heard of him, or is that the point?

He wrote the book "MU ruined my life"; not a bad book, he's a 60's N Manchester lad who followed the blues from pre-68 onwards. But he's a bit possessive about them and clearly lives in the past. He's a bit younger than me and I know what he's talking about, but he's just plain wrong.

If we followed his ideal about adopting the moral high ground and not buying success we'd be in Burnley's position before long. They were "The team of the 70's", lol! That was the phrase commonly used about Burnley back then, when they were in the top division in a position a bit like ours two seasons ago. Burnley had a youth set up as good as ours now, but without money all that happened was that the good kids went elsewhere and the team dropped like a stone. Which would happen to us if a rosy spectacled romantic like Schindler had his way.

after hearing the trailers for last nights programme (exclusive , behind the scenes etc etc ) i was quite looking forward to hearing it - it turned out to be a big disappointment . although some parts of it were quite complimentary to city ,on the whole it was the usual "city have lost their heart and soul" bollocks . schindler was pathetic (his claim to fame before writing "trafford rangers ruined my life" was directing phil collins in the instantly forgettable "buster" - just about sums it up really ! ) bernstein still seemed quite bitter re his fall out with keegan and i personally thought gary cook came across as a bit of an idiot and i am surprised they (city) allowed his interview to be broadcast ?

Cook didn't really cover himself in glory.
Some of the gaps he left between answers made me think i'd lost the signal.
Surely he had an inkling of the kind of questioning he'd face?
If this guy is supposed to be smooth & media-savvy,then God help us.

So City's evil money is killing the game is it Colin?
Well,if money is so bad then next time i'm in Waterstones i'll just nick a copy of your crap book then and save myself a tenner, you hypocritical arsewipe.

LOL

from the above posts it would seem he's another of those very short-sighted people who do not understand that economically more money coming into the game from outside of it is actually good (although how it's spent might be another matter) but influxes of external cash are POSITIVE.

shame to see that this time these comments come from a 'City' supporter, rather than a jealous 'outsider'.

Just listening to this at the moment but I think there are more supporters than you'd think who would be delighted if we won something but would have the thought somewhere at the back of their minds that somehow we hadn't really earned it through our own efforts.

But Shindler is talking rubbish. The only way the fans could ever have any tangible link with the club is if we owned it. The game has changed and even if people don't believe it's for the better, they have to get used to it. We didn't change the rules of the game or set the agenda.
