And he was correct to do so as he was better then both of them put together. It was disgraceful the way the English fa treated him.

Paul scholes May have been a utd player but he was he greatest English midfielder , alongside gascoigne in decades.

Scholes was a very good player but he was not better or even as good as Lampard, no way ...!

This is a complete myth.

Scholes played in the middle in WC 98, Euro 2000, WC 2002. He was put on the left by Sven only in 2004 for only the last 5 games of his international career because he quit immediately.

He's also said himself he played on the left for United loads of times and scored a lot of goals there, so it made sense to put him there.

The "Scholes always got played out of position for England" thing is one of the most bizarre myths in football, it was only 15 years ago, people should be able to remember what actually happened.
