Scholes

If Scholes were a City player instead of one of them, he would have to be right up there in my list of favourites with Kinky and The Goat.

I don't know how any self respecting rag can consider any other player above him.

A brilliant player for them for years and years, a completely different perspective on the whole celebrity footballer shite than most of them and a Manchester lad too.

I couldn't care less if he is red or not. I think he is brilliant.

Dirty bastard.

That's true.

Don't buy into all this "Ho, ho, ho, that's just Scholesy" rubbish.

He knows exactly what he is doing and has been given a soft ride for years by refs because "Scholesy can't tackle - isn't it funny."

No, it's dirty actually.

Exactly, he could do serious damage but like you say 'ho ho ho, it's just old Scholesy being Scholesy'. Pathetic.

Would have been nice if the "random" fixture generator at the premier league had given us Newcastle at home to start off, they look awful. united look nothing special at all but, as usual, have been gifted a guaranteed opening weekend 3 points.
Thats not an entirely accurate theory. Last year they got Brum at home and, if memory serves they won it, marginally. The season before that they drew at home to Newcastle, and the season before that they drew at home to Reading. The fixture computer throws out what it throws out. There are no 'lets let united win' buttons on it, no conspiracy, no nothing. Besides, everyone has to play everyone else at some point, so it matters not at the end of the day. Newcastle, however, are complete pants with little to offer and with no obvious changes to come in to their squad. Impossible to tell at this early stage, but I can't see them surviving and might boldly say that there are 2 relegation places left to fight for. Like I say they are extremely limited to what they can do and other than the headless chickens of Guttierez and Routledge, they don't look like they can create much at all really. Bummer, (for them!).

The computer can only give them an easy start it can't make them take advantage of it no matter how hard it tries !!

He's already won Player Of The Year, I've heard/seen/read a few things of late about how he's never won that award so it's pretty much nailed on. Obviously he'll need to start 6 games or so but even at his age he should be capable of that.

My favourite part of his game is when he tries to end other players careers and we all laugh and go 'oh Paul'.

He's been a great pro, and a great player, I've only ever been able to admire the guy, rag or not.

Correct, he's always known exactly what he was doing.

What a pity he wasn't a blue, he'd have been one of our biggest hero's.
