Scotland - Does anyone go?

Went to a funeral the other month over Inverclyde way, very depressing.
Scotland that is not the funeral as the wake was a blast.

Bless our northern chums in spite of all of there peculiarities and mischief. A truly beautiful country that I have not only had the pleasure of working in but vacationed quite a few time too. Faslane, Rosythe, Stonehaven and Aberdeenshire and hospitality a plenty that was afforded by the bucketfull.

I love my own country but would never upon pain of death open fire on a highland charge. A pure brilliant race of people and generous to a man. This year we are going on a westerly tour to drink of the goodness that is Scotland the brave.

"Alba gu bràth" And so .. Will you go?

Very nice, I should imagine thats a very comfortable cruise on the motorways & A roads but a bit of a handfull round the narrow country lanes? (I never had or fancied anything bigger than a 600)
Yeah . It`s a comfy beast to ride on long jaunts . The ride up to Glasgow is boring to hell though . The fun starts at Loch Lomond ! Though i much prefer to amble along taking in the scenery and enjoying the ride rather than racing about like a idiot wish a death wish .

Been to the west coast loads of times and it's my favourite place in the whole world.

I climbed the Cullins many years back with a mate and as we left the Sligachan Hotel it was packed because the weather was just atrocious: driving rain and really high winds and everybody must have decided to fuck walking off. We thought fuck it and started to walk over the boggy lowland towards the Cullins and a pair of walkers who had turned back - the only people we saw for the next few of hours - told us to forget it because it was so rough.

We said cheers but decided to carry on and eventually scrambled to just below Basteir's Tooth. The wind was absolutely fucking mental. My mate got on all fours to peer over the ridge to try and gauge our position and a gust of wind blew him onto his back. Needless to say we decided to turn back.

The next day was fucking glorious and cracking the flags and we managed to do the complete ridge walk in shorts and t-shirt. I can still picture the Isles of Rum and Eigg out to sea with a tiny cloud above each as I shielded my eyes from the sun.

It fucking pissed down the following day.
