Scotland - Does anyone go?

Apart from day trips to Edinburgh, finally spent a week in the West last summer near Fort William in some forest set lodges. Climbed Ben Nevis, headed to Skye and Glenbrittle, canoed a few Lochs including Loch Ness, visited a few distilleries and swam in Loch Lomond on the way back!

Bloody loved it.

Don't want to go to a place where they all hate us.
Perhaps you should go there and witness the hatred of the Scots towards the English first hand!

It's a stunning country, especially in the Highlands and the views around the North West along the coast are as stunning as anywhere you will find on Earth.

I used to work for a company years ago that had four offices dotted around the country. I was based In Manchester, and we used to make sure anyone from the other offices that visited us was made welcome, but the hand of friendship that was extended when we went up there was above and beyond anything we did in Manchester.

I don't remember what it was called now, but there is a street with cobble stones lined with bars we ended up in on numerous occasions which ended up being some of the most memorable nights of my life. We were royally entertained by all the Jocks and Lassies that worked up in Edinburgh and their hospitality couldn't be faulted.

I don't remember any hatred. I've visited Scotland countless times, and I'm pleased it's on my doorstep, so to speak.

It's a beautiful country ( apart from the bloody midges ), and if you think the Scots hate us, well, you ought to get out a bit more and see what the world can offer.

Edinburgh voted NO & is probably the least anti-English place in Jockland, apart from the incumbents of the Parliament building, obviously
