Scotland - Does anyone go?

Doing a delivery to Largs in a couple of weeks so treated myself and wife to a couple of nights at Duck Bay on Loch Lomond whilst up there. Looking forward to it.

It's a beautiful place. Been there lots of times, mainly for the golf but more so now for the beaches and walking with the dog. The Roxbrough used to be our 'bolt hole', I think it's been sold now but it used to be wonderfully eccentric, dogs roaming around, fishing gear and wellies in the foyer, good golf course and excellent food. We're off to Sandhead near Portpatrick in May, it's a bit of a trek but caravan right on the beach wonderful for the dog. Every region has something to offer whether it's mountains, moorland or fabulous pine forests.

Prefer it to anywhere else in the U.K. tbh. Glasgow one of my favourite cities and spend time there as and when I get chance. Love the hustle and bustle of the place and if I’m after a bit of peace and quiet I’ve a little place in the isle of Whithorn which is a pretty breathtaking hidden gem which requires a drive through some of the most stunning scenery in Europe.
Scotland is ace.
Went to the Isle of Whithorn a few years ago, brilliant place

Love Stirling and the surrounding area. Stay at some lakeside lodges by the Lake of Mentieth, Scotland only lake don’t you know. Lochend Chalets owned by Nick Nairn and his family. Highly recommended for a relaxing break.

Used Stirling as our base in November for visiting Glasgow, Edinburgh, Pitlochry and Loch Lomond. Had been to Stirling before but this was the first time staying there and loved it. Just the right size and 5 minutes walk to train station to head to Glasgow and Edinburgh, saved taking the car.

Have always loved it up there and have stayed in all the main cities but Aviemore and Fort William have been our most regular bases but I like it all, city and wilderness.
