Mmmm.....let's think.....a journeyman thug cm or a journeyman cm....preferably none of them, but if pushed I'd go for the the journeyman cm without an inflated opinion of his own ability.....wouldn't need to keep him in cigars either...lol

Barton can never return to City.

I'm not an admirer of Parker and would prefer either someone young and promising or a top class player who is nearing the end of his career, like Vieira.

Parker would be a top signing for us. He has bags of experience, he's 31, granted, but he's much more mobile than Barry, and has more pace than Milner.

After some tough nights in Europe we have some tough away fixtures, he'd be ideal to come in and shore things up & rest a few players.

Yaya could be gone for up to 6 weeks, maybe longer if he goes AWOL, as seems to be the norm for players at the ACN.

There was talk of West Ham being prepared to loan him for a season. Top loan for me.

I think a lot of city fans now only want "superstar" buys. Parker has great distribution & a great engine, he'd be a great foil for silva.

Not a fan personally, didn't want him when we were linked with him under Hughes. To some extent I could understand a loan deal if we were skint but seeing as were not....

Daily Mail:

Manchester City have made an enquiry for West Ham midfielder Scott Parker but the proposal has been rejected because it is said to have involved players including Wayne Bridge and Shaun Wright-Phillips rather than cash.

Thank fook!
