Exactly. But it's still only one of three competions in English football you can win. I still refer to it as the League Cup, perhaps the Milk Cup. We last won it in 1976, and it would be great if we could win it in 2011, to end the zero years since we last won something.

Barton is available on a free. Looks like we offered swp and bridge in exchange for Parker. I would actually take that deal to be honest even though I don't rate him ! Anything that gets rid of bridge is good business !

A side from the couple of years he spent in the London Borough of Newcastle upon Tyne ! Not sure where this rumour comes from - seen nothing otherthan speculation on this board. Personally I can't get excited about the prospect of Parker but any thoughts of resigning Barton fills be with absolute horror.
