'...For whatever reason the brakes have been put on our transfer dealings.'

Not saying that I agree with your comment but, given that, when we signed Aguero last year, he was supposed to be a replacement for Tevez, or so we thought, therefore, our kitty has been anything from £20m to £40m short ever since, dependant upon Tevez's fluctuating value.

Not that the Sheikh is short of a bob or 2 but, with FFP and all that, this could explain why we haven't gone in heavy, although certain posters would have us believe that we have put forward serious (big) offers in here and there which haven't been successful.

I fucking pray none of our players read this shit. If they do however welcome aboard Scott!

Negative fuckers, we cant keep spending 20/30 mill on players with ffpr coming in, IF we come away with rodwell, sinclair, nasticis (spelling sorry!) And maicon for around 30-35 mill then thats's very good business imo, we needed a couple of defenders a pacy winger and a tall powerful cm when yaya goes afcon who can do a job.

Think about what we've got already, lets just hope we do get them now before tomorrow. Id be happier if we kept de jong for another year.

Before the window I think most blues agreed that we needed cover at center half and an attacking midfielder. If thats what we get plus Rodwell it's been a decent transfer window IMO.

Not for some, they want the club to spunk £100 millione every window and have 25 world calss players in the squad, its the era of the spoilt mard arse fan.

I'm glad Swansea buckled in the end, try to fuck us over for an extra few million, glad we've come to our senses and are now telling people "this is our price, take it or leave it" we shouldn't be held at ransom, especially by a club of Swansea's stature!!

I'm going to get my tin hat on now and say well done Brian Marwood

Agreed. Plus getting rid of some dead wood. All in all, can't complain.

Who has said they want £100m spent every window?

I hope Sinclair does well, but you're kidding yourself if you think Sinclair was one of the top names we set out to sign at the beginning of the transfer window.

So you know exactly who the club was targeting? If you do i think you should let us know, because all I have read was speculation

Who would Mancini be planning to drop to fit this 'top name' in?

No I don't know who exactly, nor do you.

If you think Sinclair was one of the top names which Mancini handed over to the powers that be in their meetings than you go ahead and think that.

-- Thu Aug 30, 2012 12:55 pm --

Ask him.

With Barry out, and the likely hood of our squad being much weaker if Yaya and Kompany were to be out (as happened last season) then addressing this should have been priority.

Not that happy clappers would agree, to them you can't question anything about the club.

I don't know and neither do you, so stop posting things like they are facts, we will never know, we can speculate of course, and we can discuss the merit of various players, but some of the vitriol against Sinclair in this thread has shocked and saddened me, I thought City fans had far more class than that, I thought they would at least give the lad a chance, but he has been condemned before he has even kicked a ball in anger.
