Maicon & Sinclair, does that mean we've moved backwards

in terms of signing big names yes, but if they are an improvement on savic and johnson respectively, then no

Is sinclair better than Johnno though? I don't think he is. Johnno was a **** I suppose but that's about it

Looks like we're stagnating whilst others have strengthened, or at least not moving forward enough
Totally different players. Sinclair is about pace whereas Johnson is about dribbling, half the time of which he lost out to an opposition full back anyway. His attitude was wrong too. Sinclair appears to be a hungry player and I expect that right now he's chomping at the bit at the thought of learning from the players he's about to link up with. He will give us something we don't have and which we desperately need - pace.

If he can come in and match the contribution of AJ to last seasons title success that'll do me.

I think he's capable of that and does have the potential to get better.

since when is Maicon not a big name in football?!!

Since when has maicon signed

Maicon hasn't signed, but to say he's not a 'name' is ridiculous even for this forum.

ok hes a name but he's not a big signing like he would have been a couple of years ago.

fat ronaldo is still a big name but you wouldn't be happy signing him

All of that is only useful if the player in question is any good, which Sinclair isn't

He's got something we lack currently, pace, whether he turns out to be anything more than an impact player remains to be seen.A few united fans were probably underwhelmed when they signed Valencia.Fingers crossed Sinclair has a similar sort of impact here. For 8m or so its not the biggest gamble in the world of speculative transfers.

Bizarre argument. Fat Ronaldo doesnt play anymore. Maicon is 31 and therefore still plays football. Think I get what you're trying to say though.

Tbh it's not about if he's better than AJ.

Mancini would have kept Johnson if he was happy to play the same role as last season, he was not, Sinclair obviously is and should offer just as much.

It can't be easy to sign a player who you can't guarantee to be in the team every week.

Maybe the issue is that we are desperate to get some money back or we are useless at negotiating outgoing transfer fees?

Not really, I just don't think anyone would pay more for him thats all. Personally the £10m rising to £15m fee for Johnson I thought was good business.

please we dont want an english player

they're all over hyped and selfish arrogant twats! drink, women, club, late nights, arrogance.... will end up leaving next year.
