How can you question if a player is good enough when he hasn't even kicked a ball yet?

Sinclair has shown his ability many tones for Swansea, you think Mancini would sign him if he thought he was shit? with the players we have around the likes of Sinclair and Rodwell will only improve their game and ability.

Shauny Wright was ace for us went to Chelsea and did wank, Barry was good at Villa came to us and is now one of our most important players despite the fact the majority of football fans think he's dog shit!

How well a player did or didn't do at his previous club is irrelevant, it's about what ability they have shown.

Eh?

I can question if I think a player is good enough by having seen them play, and with Sinclair he has played mediocre in a mediocre team, lets hope he improves.

If we had got Di Rossi to make our midfield world class I don't think anyone would complain when we get further additions like Sinclair. It's just that with a day to go it looks like the likes of Sinclair are our signings of the summer and the weakness in our team whenever Yaya isn't playing is still glaringly there.

Did you watch Swansea week in week out? Or are you going off 5 minute MoTD clips like the people who claim Adam Johnson is class??

Who would you drop for De Rossi? Barry or Yaya? Because he won't sit in the bench waiting for Yaya to go to AcON

I stand by what I said how well a player did or didn't do doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be shit or not, Clichy did shit for arsenal look at him for us, Barry was good at villa and had become an important player for us!

People just need to get their head out of the skies and stop bitching because we haven't got 22 world class players! United bought mediocre players last season and had mediocre players in the squad and still managed to push us to the last minute.

Regardless of teams around us strengthening with great players we've still got the best squad, we spent 2 years strengthening our squad with world class players here and there whilst others bought mediocre players to strengthen their squads, it's now our time to just strengthen the squad instead of panicking about what's to come in January when Yaya leaves, he's one player for Christ sake I'm sure we'll manage fine with, Hart, Richards, Zab, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy, Milner, Barry, Rodwell, Sinclair, Nasri, Silva, Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko, Balotelli....

We struggled last season during the x-mas period when we still had Yaya, losing Yaya has fuck all to do with why people are crying about not signing a world class player the fact is that everyone had come to expect it and when it doesn't happen they get into a massive huff...

It's embarrassing!

We should replace Barry. Barry and Milner without Yaya were very ordinary last year.

What is embarrassing is happy clappers like you going on long winded rants and getting in a huff, calling everyone flappers, kids etc whenever someone has the temerity to question a signing by the club.

The worlds top clubs, sign either world class players, or one's with great potential. We can no longer compare our transfer activity with yesteryear. Look at our true rivals, Real, Bayern, Chelski, rags and Barca, they look for quality, in 3 of those teams they have considerably better first 11's and squads in general. That is our bench mark, not the arse, spurs, or dippers!

Yep completely accurate. At the end of the day it depends on what the boards expectations are. If they are happy with an Arsenal situation where they qualify for your Europe compete, but dont win any of the big trophies then it is fine. They have spent near a billion on your club and you are in an infinitely healthier position in that situation than you would be without them. However, just be prepared for it. Just seeing your CL group, your squad is not good enough to compete for every trophy.

On topic I have seen a lot of Sinclair. I had a season ticket the year he was with us and went to about 11 away games that year as well. For 6.2 Million it is a decent buy, but make no mistakes Adam Johnson is the better player. Swapping Sinclair for Johnson makes you weaker. Given the choice I would rather have had Moses for 9 million. Still Sinclair will do a job and an average player is better than no player.
