Scottish flags at COMS...

so there are no man city supporter clubs in scotland??

i'm from northern ireland and I would spend over the odds to go to a city match and I would proudly bring a northern ireland flag with me - would that offend you??

it's simply a symbol to the team that they have support in their neighbouring countries.... surely not a bad thing?

course your welcome mate, I know a couple of Irish lads that have followed City since they were kids. I quite like seeing some of the flags from different area supporters clubs. Shows how well we're supported throughout the UK and Ireland. Plus its always good to meet people from different places, gives a person another outlook on the world. Don't have a problem with anyone sticking up for the blues, its good in my opinion.

Why?

I saw a few today, which I had not noticed before...

We have no Scottish players in the first team, and thus have little or no reason to have any association with Scotland, so why are these bigots trying to associate themselves with our religion-free club?

Yeah blue and white flag with the words 'Glasgow Man City', that's obviously a real statement of err..... support for Man City. Please explain why that's bigotry? Maybe you think the other banner that's clear to see from the East stand.... 'Mcr Airport Black Cab Drivers' is displayed by former members of the Black Panthers.

i don,t see a problem with it only the same as putting where you come from on a english flag, can,t put glasgow blues on a english flag then you would be really upset.

If the OP hasn't seen the Glasgow Man City flag before he mustn't get to games very often!

I'd agree with his point if it had one of the Old Firm teams plastered across it but as it was a straightforward saltire why is it any different to other national flags on display today, saw an Irish tricolour in the South stand and the odd Brazil flag too.

Oh Deary me !!!!! I have followed City since the early 60's, we have always had Scottish fans and god bless them!! I met my present partner in 2002 and she is Scottish. She loves city nearly as much as I do,she does not hang out a flag of St Andrew at games, but if she wanted to, why the hell not? As long as anyone supports CITY I don't care where they are from and what flag they fly, as long as they are BLUES first! Sort your life out !!
