Scottish flags at COMS...

There is a severe lack of comprehension in a lot of these replies, which I must say I did expect, although I thought I made it clear enough who I was and wasn't referring to... obviously not.

Read it again, along with my replies. Then... maybe... just then, you can all stop jumping to conclusions and even possibly acknowledge a valid point I made - which few are willing to make.

I think a lot of people are missing a vital point. City FANS at the City STADIUM!!! Give a fuck what country they're from, what flag they're flying...blue is blue...no?

This is getting silly.
It not as if they had them on the end of a big fuck off pole waving them about,they were draped over the front & weren't huge either.
Perhaps they were Celtic supporters who had come to see the team whom Tom Maley an ex Celtic player had managed to there 1st major trophy.
Or Rangers fans that wanted to see the club Derek Parlane played for or Hibs fans visiting the club that Bobby Johnstone & ex-manager Dave Ewing played for.
We have got links to Scotland,loads more besides these aswell.

You haven't got a point though.

i think you've all taken this the wrong way,my understanding of it is singingtheblues saw a scottish flag with writing on it,and wrongly jumped to the conclusion as did i,that it was something to do with the old firm,the point he was trying to make,is that there is no place for bigotry or intolerance at COMS,a point on which we all agree

I don't know about Rangers supporters who also support City, I think I've met more Hearts supporters who also support City, can anyone think of a reason for that? Did one of our better Scottish players bring them with him?

Look, I know we will have Scottish fans, and I certainly do associate any Scotsman or woman with sectarianism and bigotry, mabye I should have left a disclaimer at the bottom of my post for the less perceptive among us. Now let me make on thing clear for the less observant among us;

I thought it was fairly obvious the bolded bit was the case. But then again I've never been particularly perceptive or observant.

Yet you must acknowledge that we have had Scottish "fans" who come with an agenda, that being to expose us to their sectarian religious nonsense, as seen when we played Celtic in August.

I have a problem with Scottish fans who have a poorly hidden agenda.

Can you not acknowledge any point I have made without attempting to criticise the credibility of my post?

Does displaying a flag of your nation, without any reference to religion mean that you are one of those fans with an agenda? You appear to think so.

You won't believe me but I'll tell you anyway; what I actually ment (typing error aside) was "every" rather than "any". There is a huge difference in the two statements, and I'll have to thank you for pointing that out to me. You'll just have to take my word for it that that is what I meant!

Makes more sense doesn't it?

And to answer your question;

No I don't think displaying a flag of any paticular nation without any reference to religion means that those paticular fans have an agenda, I do however know that we have had Scottish "fans" who have only had one objective; to service their benal agenda. Which is why I can be sceptical, maybe I shouldn't but there goes!

Now that I have refrained from being evasive as you so often are (one look at your above post is a good example) can you tell me whether or not you believe that I have made any valid points?

No, in my opinion you have not.

If you wanted to talk about bigotry and sectarianism you should have, I'm sure you would have got broad support.

But you chose to talk about Scottish flags at the football, that as far as I can see have absolutely nothing to do with bigotry or sectarianism.
