Scottish flags at COMS...

I find the lack of knowledge about this subject, as initiated by the OP, truly startling!

The flag flown at the ground yesterday was the St. Andrews cross, white cross on a blue background, and is ONLY a Scottish symbol.

It has NOTHING to do with Protestantism or Republicanism, it is solely a Scottish thing.

In fact, the bigots at Parkhead earlier this season would most certainly NOT fly such a flag, as those Protestants show allegiance to the Union Jack and not the Scoittish flag.

If some people are concerned about bigots attaching themselves to our club, then I sympathise with that view. The tossers at Parkhead embarrassed us with their Rule Britannia and God Save our Queen bollocks, but the Scottish flag is no indication of that attitude.

I welcome flags from anywhere.. it's the No Surrender to the IRA muppets we have to get rid off...

Personally, i like seeing lots of different types of flags at games, because it's interesting to see all the different areas that we have fans from.

As for the original post, i am from Glasgow, my Dad is from Manchester, therefore i have an assocation with the club, I'm not a bigot, I don't hate the English, I am 'religion free', if that's important to you, and i don't have any diseases either.

flying the flag for the national front are we?

it had GLASGOW MAN CITY written on it, why is there a problem with that?

Christ, (oops look religion!)

I knew if I saw your username pop up on my thread you would drag your typically moronic and ignorant comments with you.

I am no advocate of the National front, and may I ask you what could I have said any differently to avoid being labelled something like that whilst still engaging in this sensitive subject?

If you cannot see the point I was making then you certainly are not one of the people who this thread was aimed at, you shouldn't bother reading anything which doesn't come with a diagram and a pretty picture.

keep dying in this pointless corner your fighting for pal, say whatever i cant be bothered to reply again, the jokes on you.

I brought a german flag with MCFC along to COMS and already to Highbury, St. James Park, Hamburg, Schalke...
Hope it is ok also in the future? (I´m sure it is)

I'm Scottish and bloody proud of it. I don't have a sectarian bone in my body sosingingtheblues is well bang out of order assuming I would have. My parents bought me a Man City top when I was 7 years old and here I am 41 years to my credit still following my beloved City. I don't need to apologise for picking an English team to follow and I won't give them up because some Englishman resents the fact that a Scottish flag gets displayed at COMS. I, by the way, have done the same and the next time I'm down will do so again. No doubt I won't be alone and they'll be plenty from all over the world. Fact is we're City fans and proud off it. Other City fans if they don't like need to get a life!
