What’s nice about seeing the coefficient taking a battering? It’s time we stopped hating ourselves to death and tried to improve our game as a whole.

For the record I get the anger at the arrogance of SOME old firm fans but I would have thought you would have enjoyed your European experience this season and hoped for many more.

I did notice that Cercle Brugge had a great result last night knocking 6 past St Gallen.

And the coefficient being where it is guaranteed you group stage football.

It’s relatively easy to grasp. The better the coefficient the more chance of teams OUTWITH the Old Firm getting European football boosting them financially and hopefully improving the game here

Plus, if they do well in it, the league get CL qualification. They all will receive £1.6m this year. We as a country keep qualifying for it, they keep getting it. That’s probably more than most take in through season ticket sales.

Will never shed a tear over the co efficient. The further the old firm get, the wider the gap between them and the rest of the league increases - games become less entertaining and less likely of a result, less likely of managing a cup win or any kind of success.......all the whilst you get the likes of Magic pole and his ilk slamming teams for not going to Celtic park and "having a go". You couldn't make it up.

Would love to see both of them get skudded every week in Europe and out at the earliest opportunity.

It doesn’t look good at all. 3,000 x £30 is £90k. Probably more than their entire first 11 wages. Multiply that by 4 and you have the jeans to have better players who can cross the halfway line. Ok I can get that argument. Also watching two teams winning more or less everything in your domestic game for a lifetime must grate and can understand seeing those two put in their place in Europe must bring a wee smile to your face. I can understand seeing arrogant supporters of the Old Firm brought crashing down. Absolutely understandable.

The duopoly is not going to change if more money is not brought into our league.The old firm are always going to have a financial advantage but if a few teams manage to put together a few decent runs in Europe the gap could close overtime. That improves the game and also makes it easier to attract players here.

As for Old Firm supporters moaning about the style of play. We all know it’s laughable. All you have to do is watch Rangers 2008 UEFA cup run under Walter Smith. Teams come to Ibrox and the plan is to stay in the game and then go for it last 15-20. Obviously if it goes tits up it damage limitation mode. If they come and have a go toe to toe it could end up being embarrassing like losing 7-1 doesnt do anything for team morale
