It depends which way you see life and equality as it is.

Scotland leaving takes away a % of votes - most of which aren't for Tory. But whichever way Scotland have voted in the past hasn't mattered a shit because take our votes out of the equation and the outcome has always remained the same.

Without patronising anyone, I'd hope that if and when independence is gained, Scotland would demand a more equal, fairer society and hopefully the North of England could be inspired to demand the same.
That's untrue about whichever way Scotland has voted in the past not mattering.

On four occasions, the result would have changed including with the current coalition.

In every election that Tony the 'War Criminal' Blair won it would have not mattered one jot.
Nope but he's the only person in 50 years elected by a majority by England from that party.

You're petrified aren't you my socialist friend.

If they vote 'yes' when do they actually become independent? How long is the transition period to sort things out?

2016 (I think March of that year).

Passports won't be needed, as is the case between Ireland and Northern Ireland/IOM and mainland UK etc.

And we'll use the £.

Do not be so sure about passports, it is a very complex matter as if you do vote yes you will not be a member of the EU, we can not allow unrestricted access because once you get over the border you are in the EU

So give it a few years until your own EU referendum is done (Thanks to Farage and the Tories) and we should be ok then :)

On a serious note, I think given Scotland's history within the EU and the EU's current status and future aims, when democratic discussions get underway in the result of a yes vote, we'll be gladly accepted into the EU. I'm no salmond fan but I pretty much agree with everything he says on that front.

?
More petrified about the results of our next three games.
I would prefer a Yes vote even though this screws Labour, but if it goes the other way I'm not overly bothered.
Anyway returning to the substance of my post please feel free to comment .

how many other foreign countries have a 'share' of the Bank of England I wonder?
I'm winging it a bit and talking bollox of course George, can you explain to me how this will work?As I see it the only hassle is that the debt transferred to Scotland would have to be underwritten by the Bank of England.

Sean Connery is voting yes - always thought he lived in America

Like you I have no idea but a separate Scotland will weaken both itself and what remains of the UK for an antiquated vision that will also divide the Yes & No camps for years to come (if it happens - which I doubt)
