Scottish Independence

The Scots only actually gave the SNP 45% of the vote. If we had electoral reform/pr which is probably more badly needed throughout the UK than devolution, then the SNP would find themselves forming a minority govt or in coalition in Scotland. So hardly the majority of Scots support the SNP as some would have you think. They are the best supported/biggest party in Scotland on 45% of the vote, but 45% is not a majority.
If......

Yes but if you add the 6% the Greens got and the 18% Labour got it can be done.

The last one only needed 135,000 swing for us to win. 76% of the 65 plus voted No. Plenty of them now keeping Phil company. The young team are overwhelmingly pro Indy so it could happen.
After Brexit, I would be in favour of another vote as long as we get a say aswell. A hard scexit with you fellas getting your fair share of the UK debt. Having your own currency. And paying to get access to the UK market obviously after you have settled your divorce bill, sounds about right to me. Everyones happy then Magic!

SNP 48 (+13) * 45% +8.1 1,242,380 +246,811
Conservatives 6 (-7) 25.1% -3.5 692,939 -65,0838

Looks more like, arejection of Labour /corbyn than Tories.

Just seems sensible. If the renewed mandate for Scottish independence is based upon not liking brexit, then (to use remain speak) surely it would make sense to see what Brexit finally looks like after the fta/no agreement is thrashed out? It's only another year.

I see what you did there. Touché

Don't forget removal of UK defence work and repayment of RBS loans.

Oh yes the RN shipyards would move to England, and the big subsidies from the UK gov for the oil industry would also cease. It amazes me that no one calls Sturgeon out on this in the media.

To be fair most of the tory rejection happened years ago back in the Thatcher days really.

When did the Tories last win a vote in Scotland?
