Scottish Independence

It was not (obvious). Nor even enough of a hint. Neither in the context of the thread, nor the rest of your post.

unless i missed where the SNP are the only ones with free access to unis, bus passes, prescriptions etc etc. Which they are not, the whole population is.

Well that’s your fault.

Why would anyone who didn’t want independence be ungrateful?

Try and work backwards from that.

Having read it back, no way was that specific to just the 'nationalists', it was very much aimed at the whole population. nothing can (in that particular post) convince me you meant otherwise.

I have no problem with it btw, if that is your view. Many seem to think that way. I've heard much worse. I didn't react to it. I was just pointing out, that if you are saying you did mean otherwise, that post doesn't and can't possibly suggest or support that.
And no that is not 'my' fault.

From today's The Sunday Times via The Scotsman:

"Sir John Curtice, professor of politics at Strathclyde University, predicted the Conservatives face losing more than half of their Scottish seats. He calculates the SNP will win 48 seats - up from 35 at the 2017 general election - with the Scottish Tories falling from 13 to five, Labour from seven to one, and the Lib Dems rising from four to five."

Could be even more SNP MPs at Westminster after the next election.

I predict the Tory party will be wiped out in Scotland at the next election. No Ruth Davidson this time who singlehandedly dragged their vote up last time. The Lib Dem’s may well do ok but they aren’t the only no Brexit party in Scotland.

I don't think the Scottish Conservatives will lose all their seats unless there is an extremely hard Brexit, but if Northern Ireland ends up getting the best of both worlds in any such deal, the SNP will certainly seek to exploit that to its advantage: The Vow and the promise of fairness etc.

My point was on the benefits Scottish citizens have over your average English citizen. By me saying they’re ungrateful for this, I in no way meant those that didn’t advocate independence.

As I’ve said, and I’m not doing a Sepp Blatter here, I know Scottish lads that work in England and they think a lot of it is pathetic.

I went to Edinburgh last year and the first pub we went in had a Scottish bloke from centuries ago, in a framed picture and a poem in front of him about killing the English, over the top of the bar - no idea who that guy was.

We’re nearly in 2020, why is this still a thing?

Nationalist marches through the streets this very week.

These people are similar to the English nationalists and should be treated as such.

See my previous post.

I don't believe the Scots Nats what you would categorise as a Nationalist party, they are a pro-independence party. Just as I don't think UKIP are an independence party but are a Nationalist party.

They’re two sides of the same coin.

UKIP are their closest political match.

How many seats have UKIP got in the HoC? Give your head a wobble.

Wow.

Congratulations on totally missing what I’ve said yet again.

Give my head a wobble?

Learn to understand a fucking basic sentence.

Let’s take baby steps, as you need it...

UKIP are their closest POLITICAL MATCH.

What do you think that means?
